Our Golden Child Hef is a Bitter Brothers standby. A pale, refreshing true-to-style German wheat beer with high carbonation it has a dry finish, a fluffy mouthfeel and a distinctive banana-and-clove yeast character. The Golden Child is best enjoyed young and fresh, so we brew it often.

Sibling Rivalry is packed with traditional Pacific Northwest hops, and an ale that we’d venture to say siblings would fight over. This hoppy brew layers traditional American hops, including Centennial and Simcoe, resulting in a citrus forward beer with a more balanced malt backbone.

Though its name suggests it may be the odd one out, we always have a tap reserved for our Black Sheep Porter. This bold porter features coffee from our friends over at Arcidiacono, also located in BayHo. The dark hued brew packs a jolt of java aroma and flavor— it’s the next best thing to a cup of joe. Also available on Nitro.

Named for the elder bitter brother, our pilsner has a rounded bitterness that’s never harsh — much like Bill himself. Bitter Bill’s Pils balances its subtle bitterness with rich, complex maltiness and spice from floral Saaz hops, resulting in an overall crisp, complex and well-rounded Old World-style lager.

There’s a lot to love about our Dunkelweizen. The “brother” to our Golden Child Hef, it has an earthy, roasted chocolate character from the addition of cacao nibs. Add that to our Golden Child Hef, and it makes for a full-bodied brew that’s one part banana and one part chocolate. Think chocolate covered banana, and you’re there.

A nod to Bitter Brothers Co-Founder Bill Warnke’s ‘extra-special brother,’ Kurt— you’ll have to buy him a pint to get the story behind this one. Our well balanced ESB is true-to-style and showcases English malts, hops and yeast.

We’re not bitter about taking part in the revival of this traditional sour German beer style, once the most popular in Berlin— hence its name. To make it our own, we’re offering different fruit variations throughout the year. Napoleon’s troops called it the champagne of the North.
